Kevin Feige announced that Brie Larson would take the role of Captain Marvel in their female-led superhero movie. The trailer has now made its way online, which continues to tease a potential head trip of a comic book picture. So here’s your one-stop shop for keeping up with the latest film and television news revealed at this year’s global convention.
Starring in the film are Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and many others.
“He doesn’t know anything – he’s just at the beginning of figuring out what reality is”, the 40-year-old Briton said of his character.
Something the trailer doesn’t completely communicate what the clip that played in Hall H today did was how amusing Doctor Strange looks.
“The truth is, anyone of us could be the Ancient One”, she told the crowd. There was a surprising amount of jokes in the footage. Nothing about his mannerisms felt off, and something about it helped enhance the jokes.
And with some snatched glimpses of a fight between Kaecilius and Doctor Strange, it looks as though we’re in for a real treat. A gifted neurosurgeon who loses everything after a auto accident leaves him with horrifically injured hands, unusual travels the world in search of a cure.
“Marvel has a very strong record of diversity in its casting of films and regularly departs from stereotypes and source material to bring its MCU [Marvel cinematic universe] to life”.
