Moroccan Olympic boxer being investigated over alleged sexual assaults
Moroccan boxer Hassan Saada has been arrested by police over allegations that he sexually assaulted two female cleaners in the athletes village at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

A statement from the Rio civil police said: “The civil police of the 42nd police station… arrested on the morning of Friday, August 5, the boxing Moroccan athlete, Hassan Saada”. The alleged attacks of the two women, who were working in the Village, occurred on Wednesday.
According to the Globo news site, Saada summoned the maids into his room, asking for some information. He groped the breast of one of them and touched the other woman’s thigh.
Saada was due to fight Turkish boxer Mehmet Nadir in the preliminary rounds on Saturday afternoon. “The arrest took place in the Olympic Village”. US athletes said their buildings have security guards and cameras to prevent any unauthorized entry.

Chief investigator Carolina Salomao said the women filed a report this week, saying the 22-year-old boxer had asked them to go to his room, then restrained and fondled them. Larissa Nunes Saly, the Investigating judge has that ruled the boxer to be held in custody for 15 days while police investigate the allegations against him.
