President Obama refutes Trump’s claim of rigged election

“I take my role seriously and in the face of the hard choice before us, I will always put America First over party and labels”, he said.

Trump shocked Republican leaders yet again this week when he refused to declare support for Ryan, instead stating that “I’m just not there yet”.

Trump’s attacks on the Muslim parents of a decorated American soldier, Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq, have drawn sharp rebukes since Khizr Khan and Ghazala Khan appeared at last week’s Democratic convention.

He also said that Trump has had “a pretty unusual run since the convention” in Cleveland last month and that it’s a shame that Republicans aren’t focusing on Hillary Clinton. “That’s for sure”, Paul Nehlen said on 560 AM’s “Morning Answer” in Chicago, when asked whether he would support deporting every Muslim from the country.

Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort told CBS’s “This Morning” that the campaign is comfortable where it stands now and said the news media have built a false narrative in which Democrats are controlling the race to the November 8 election.

Trump raised questions this week when he repeatedly claimed to have witnessed video shot in Tehran of the recent $400 million cash transfer from the US government. “You never give anybody, for any reason a blank check on anything”, Ryan said, adding that he’s not sure at what point – or under what scenario – he might un-endorse Trump.

“I say, ‘Mike, you like him? Yes”.

Since formally accepting the Republican nomination two weeks ago, Trump has not been able to keep the focus on Clinton. It was the first payment of $1.7 billion in Iranian assets the US agreed to send back as part of the deal. Trump and some other Republicans have described the money as ransom payment for four Americans detained in Iran days before the money was delivered.

Campaign spokesman Marc Lotter didn’t respond to a request to interview Pence about his relationship with Trump. Obama said at a news conference at the Pentagon. Weber on Wednesday called Trump’s candidacy “a mistake of historic proportions” for Republicans. It is unclear what footage Trump was referring to.

In an email, a campaign spokeswoman said Trump was simply referring to video aired on television this week, although no such footage of payment to Iranians was shown.

The story has dominated headlines since then after Trump pushed back. Republican Donald Trump’s campaign declined the invitation.

Former Trump adviser Barry Bennett acknowledged signs of poor morale among the campaign staff he maintains contact with, but said it would be silly dismiss Trump’s chances with three months before Election Day. “There’s no reassuring. Trump is Trump”. And to me, that sends the wrong message, that they are more important than the rest of us.

Matthew said Pence has been “softening up on Mr. Trump’s policies and words” and questioned whether that would be his role in a Trump administration.
