Fans pay tribute to Nimoy with selfie mosaic
William Shatner has created a piece of art in tribute to his late Star Trek castmate Leonard Nimoy using pictures of fans to make up a special portrait of the actor.

Earlier this month, Shatner tweeted out a vague message to his 2.25 million followers instructing them to take selfies of themselves holding up the Live Long and Prosper (LLAP) sign and then email the photos to a Gmail address dedicated to the Nimoy tribute, according to CNN.
“I need everyone’s help”, Shatner somewhat cryptically tweeted on August. 1.
Nimoy, best known for his portrayal of the Vulcan, died in February of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at 83.
G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S, for the uninitiated, is a huge worldwide scavenger hunt hosted by Misha Collins (the acronym literally stands for “Greatest global Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen”). Here is what we made with your help!
Born to Yiddish-speaking Orthodox Jews from Ukraine, Nimoy narrated the documentary “A Life Apart: Hasidism in America” in 1997, about the various sects of Hasidic Jews.
William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy’s friendship spanned decades, perhaps inspired by their Star Trek characters’ epic bromance.
