Trump plans to endorse Ryan

The remarks infuriated many in the Republican establishment, and a GOP source told CNN Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus was especially frustrated because Ryan and Priebus, both from Wisconsin, are very close.

The tale of two states underscores Trump’s mounting challenges during one of the most tumultuous weeks of his unorthodox campaign.

“There’s a conflict within the Trump campaign”, Manafort told ABC’s “Good Morning America”.

Republicans are concerned that Trump could lose not just his White House bid, but also cost them their control of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

“Sometimes things don’t always come out like you mean”, he said, referring to Trump’s off-the-cuff style of speaking.

“In a democracy, majority rules and a majority of Republican primary voters have selected Trump to be their nominee”, Ciattarelli said via email correspondence.

At the same time, Clinton criticized Trump for outsourcing at his companies the very jobs he’s promising to create back home. But Vos, too, was skipping the Trump rally on Friday.

Actor and director Clint Eastwood, a prominent celebrity supporter of the Republican Party who appeared at its 2012 United States presidential nominating convention, offered an alternative view, saying Trump says some “dumb things” but that Americans should get over it. “She is such a weak candidate that one would think we’d be on offense against Hillary Clinton, and it is distressing that that’s not what we’re talking about these days”, he said.

On Thursday in military-rich Virginia, Pence repeatedly recognized the veterans and military in the audience, saying as the father of a son who serves in the Marines, Clinton should be disqualified from the presidency for her role in the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, as secretary of state.

But he tells The Associated Press that he’s not rescinding his support for Trump because he says Democrat Hillary Clinton would be worse.

Still, a shockingly large minority, 40%, say they think it’s possible Trump drops out.

And she’s making a point of acknowledging the deep economic anxiety that helped fuel Trump’s rise in the primary polls. He said “Donald Trump and I are standing shoulder to shoulder to say to the American people, ‘We can be strong again'”.

“I strongly support Paul Ryan, strongly endorse his re-election”, Pence, a longtime congressional colleague of Ryan’s, said in a phone interview with Fox News.

Trump has made clear he values Pence, telling a rally on Thursday in Portland, Maine, that he and his running mate had a “great relationship”. She has not said who she would be voting for come November.

He conceded Friday he was wrong to claim repeatedly in recent days that he saw a video of a US cash payment going to Iran.

Ryan himself said he hasn’t spoken to Trump since the GOP convention, has no plans to, and has no idea whether their differences are going to persevere through the campaign.

The New York billionaire has cited a $400 million payment the USA made to Iran this year, delivered on the same day that Iran released four American hostages.

Meanwhile, Trump’s missteps have caused widening ripples of anxiety among Republican officials with the election just three months away.

Pence asked the crowd to quiet down and then said of the questioner: “That’s what freedom looks like”.
