Mourinho: “We will definitely sign one more player”

“What matters to me is only what happens in my house, not the house of my neighbour”, said Mourinho, whose side travel to Bournemouth for their opening Premier League match on August 14.

“Pogba is a Juventus player until officially he isn’t, so we stay like this”. Normally, next week, we will have our squad closed.

United captain Rooney, whose career at the club was celebrated as they drew 0-0 at home to Everton in his testimonial on Thursday morning (AEST), feels Mourinho has an aura about him as well as clear communication skills.

Pogba is understood to still be on holiday in NY as he enjoys the final few days of his time off following his Euro 2016 exploits. Pogba left Manchester United in 2012 to join Juventus on a free transfer.

“If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney”, said the German.

“I said many years ago the flawless partner for a striker is Wayne Rooney”, he said in an interview aired before the game by MUTV. He has to drive the team, push them to do the right things and everything associated with the club evolved around him. I don’t want to go through that spell again. “The money that Man United are bringing in now, commercially, allows them to spend that money”.

“If I spend money, it is because I am trying to build a team, a real team”.

Mourinho also blasted Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp for their recent criticism of United’s £100m pursuit of Pogba. That is for sure.

“We have made decisions”.

Mourinho was asked about that during a press conference on Friday where he admitted that he did not take kindly to the comments.

“But the reality is I don’t speak about the others”. I am happy with the effort of the club. I do not like that. “It is not ethical”, Mourinho observed. I won’t say to top form but to a level where they are ready to compete.

“In the other countries they want to be comfortable and know that they are always the top clubs, in the Champions League”.

“Our market was good”.

Ferdinand further admitted that the nine-figure sum it would take to sign Pogba just four years after United cut him adrift reflects badly on his former employers but insists they won’t lose too much sleep if they can get back to winning major trophies.

Manchester United could reportedly announce a deal to sign Paul Pogba and a helicopter was spotted flying around Old Trafford. What could it mean
