Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson was happy about many things during the first practice of training camp, but ball security was not one of them. Rookie LB Emmanuel Ogbah is getting some time at defensive end as the Browns try to make up for the loss of Desmond Bryant, who is out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle. “It’s our job as players to put our best foot forward”. You name a guy and move forward, and everybody gets behind that guy.

“Just passion, and I could tell that he’s just really, really glad that he has the opportunity to be back because being away for that long of a time, he just feels like this is an opportunity that he doesn’t want to give up”.
“It’s one of the keys to victory”. Commissioner Goodell believes the ability for Josh to work with the team during his suspension will help him.
Initially, the Browns scheduled Friday’s practice to be open to the public, but weather conditions delayed the start of the session and forced the organization to clear the field area.
“Whatever it is, we have to be able to rise to the occasion and go play. I thought we did”. He’s been working out during the off-season, but he will miss the first few weeks of training camp because of a quad injury. Griffin has the talent to succeed in this league, and proved such as soon as he entered it. “I can’t wait to get back out there and play the game I love in front of the great fans of Cleveland”. I think he knows that.
Jackson is not a laid-back coach that accepts mistakes.
“I think whoever earns that job is going to earn it out on this field”, Jackson said. What analytics really is, is cutting to the core of what a team is looking for, and using advanced tools to find players who fit this criteria, and perhaps helps find “diamonds in the rough” through market inefficiencies, such as the A’s have done with moneyball. I think Corey likes that.

The Browns have some intriguing pieces on offense, and have restocked the shelves at the wide receiver position, but what they have lacked virtually since they returned to the National Football League was any semblance of an answer at the quarterback position, short of a season or two from Derek Anderson.
As he did throughout the spring, Griffin said he’s just “having fun” and whatever level of uncertainty may exist hasn’t affected his thinking or his work.
Josh Gordons return to football has been sidetracked again. (Head trainer) Joe Sheehan and our medical staff are as good as they are. “We understand that the league has expectations for him and we do too and we shared those with him and I truly believe that he wants to make it right as well”.

Gordon is saying all the right things. We all desperately want to win. “1 yards per catch, and on top of that, his 161 receptions, 2,754-yards and 14 touchdowns in 35 games are exactly what the Eagles need on the outside this season”, wrote Ignudo.
