Massachusetts Weather: Sunny day ahead before showers this weekend
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Sunday afternoon. So the storms have the potential for some heavy rain, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and hail.

A dry, sunny stretch of weather will take us through much of next week, with a gradual warming trend. While Saturday will not be a wash-out, you will need to duck inside for an hour or so as the storms pass. Highs in the low to mid 80s.
Look for cooler temperatures and less wind overall for today. It will be mostly sunny through at least early afternoon. It’s still hot and quite stuffy, with readings hovering in the upper 80s. Partly cloudy at night, low in the mid-70s.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Shower and thunderstorm chances continue for Saturday as the cold front finally crosses through. Some could be strong. Conditions remain very pleasant with plenty of sunshine, relatively low humidity and high temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
Tuesday: Sunny, high in the mid-80s. Wednesday is warmer, with a noticeable increase in humidity.
Sunday on the other hand will be mostly sunny.
There’s a 30 percent chance of rain on Saturday, otherwise it will be partly sunny.
Thursday: Sunny warm less humid.

Highs on Friday will still reach the mid-upper 80s especially from Grand Rapids and off to the south/east.
