Tesla’s Confirms Compact SUV Model Y Will Be Its Next Release
Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) said that with these improvements, company is still on track for generating more revenue by delivering about 50,000 vehicles in the latter half of this year, and this reaffirms its previous guidance. He also said that Tesla would be profitable in the third and fourth quarters of this year if one ignores the capital for engineering and increasing production of Model 3.

Complicated parts, like gull-wing doors and free-standing second-row seats, were also issues.
Adjusted for items, Tesla booked a net loss of US$1.06 per share, compared to a loss of US$0.48 per share for the second quarter of 2015.
Tesla Motors reported on Wednesday a larger second-quarter loss than expected as it worked to speed production in the face of strong demand for its electric cars. Revenue rose 33 percent to $1.27 billion but operating expenses grew at about the same rate to $513 million. Tesla ended the quarter producing just under 2,000 Model S and Model X vehicles a week.
Shares of the company, which has offered to buy SolarCity for .6 billion, were little changed in after-hours trading. Because of this, Tesla said that the company will be able to support as much as 50,000 deliveries during the second half of 2016.
It is the second consecutive quarter that Tesla has missed production targets, raising doubts about whether it will reach its full year goal. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected loss of $0.52 per share for the quarter. Tesla began taking reservations March 31 and within a week it had more than 325,000 reservations for the $35,000 auto, which is due out next year.
The Model 3 is Tesla’s attempt to widen its market appeal with a more affordable auto.

Musk said: “In the development of a vehicle, there’s a long phase in the beginning of the development that involves a lot of time, but not a lot of costs”. Things started out well when reservations for the companys upcoming Model 3 sedan wildly exceeded expectations. In June, a Tesla Model S collided with a truck while Autopilot was engaged-the first recorded death in a semi-autonomous vehicle. Some analysts have questioned the benefits of the deal because both companies are losing money. He also warned contractors and suppliers that they could endure his wrath if they don’t meet their July 1 Model 3 production dates.
