Stranger Things re-imagined as an ’80s TV sitcom

Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer – known professionally as “the Duffer Brothers” – say the show was rejected a staggering 15 or 20 times by various studios, but the siblings were indefatigable and eventually got a green light from Netflix. He knew the role might be a game-changer for his career; “Stranger Things” had buzz from the start, partly because of its star, Winona Ryder, who plays a single mom investigating the seemingly supernatural disappearance of her son. Her scenes are frantic and tend to be darkly funny. As of this writing, Netflix has yet to order a second season, but with five-star ratings and positive critical reviews.

Is Netflix Unsure About “Stranger Things” Season 2?

Now an Adelaide muso has gone viral with a superb jam on the Stranger Things theme. With hints of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, and Stephen King, the first season ended with Eleven’s apparent death. Asked by The Guardian if there would be a new season, Hastings said, “We would be dumb not to”.

During another interview with Collider, the Duffer brothers admitted that they planned to stick to eight episodes for season 1.

Stranger Things episodes are now available to stream on Netflix and, considering its popularity, a second season in the near future would seem to be a shoo-in. “There was a week where we were like, ‘This isn’t going to work because people don’t get it, ‘” Matt added.

“We finished this a week before it was out in the world, so right now we’re relaxing a bit”, Ross told Rolling Stone. However, that doesn’t mean that they are not looking forward to “Stranger Things” Season 2. The creators, known as the Duffer Brothers, found the ideal equation of supernatural happenings, good music, intriguing character development, suspense and, uh, more suspense. Once the network greenlights another run, season 2 will probably air sometime next year.

Because Stranger Things is arguably the best new show on television in 2016. But I do think that a lot of people feel like it should end, and a second season should be an anthology.
