“Post the runway closure at Dubai airport yesterday, our yesterday’s flights to the city had been diverted to Al Maktoum International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Sharjah International Airport”.
All 300 passengers and crew were safely evacuated from the Emirates plane after the crash, which occurred when the crew apparently attempted unsuccessfully to abort a landing.
Dubai airport, the world’s busiest in terms of global passengers, was shut down Wednesday following an accident involving a landing Emirates plane, it said.

Quest said aircraft were created to be able to be evacuated within 90 seconds if there is an accident. “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to our affected passengers, and ask for their continued understanding and patience as our teams work to restore operations”, the spokesperson added.
