The California Highway Patrol has recommended that Dennis Rodman face charges in a freeway incident last month but the former basketball player denied Friday that anything happened.

“Life is good, that’s why I’ve never been charged”, Rodman told The Associated Press in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he made a surprise appearance to give out his children’s books at a boys and girls club.

CHP investigators are recommending Orange County prosecutors should move forward with charges against Rodman.

Dennis Rodman, 55, was reportedly behind the wheel of a white SUV that crashed on the 5 Freeway around 12:30 A.M. on July 20th, according to TMZ.

Susan Kang-Schroeder, chief of staff at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, said the matter is being reviewed and no charges have been filed.

The driver of the BMW swerved to avoid a head-on collision and hit the highway’s center divider. The driver of the BMW identified the other party as being none other than Rodman.
