George Zimmerman gets punched; Twitterverse cheers

While Zimmerman denies bragging about the shooting, the Sentinel reports witnesses say he told Whitmer “I like your racist tattoos” and that he began talking about the Martin shooting “to brag”.

An unidentified man reportedly walked up to Zimmerman and said, “You’re bragging about that?” before telling him to get out of the restaurant, and punching him moments later.

Restaurant staff then deescalated the situation, the police report states.

After regaining his wits, Zimmerman jumped on the phone and called 911.
