Jared Leto doubts Hollywood is ready for gay leading man

“I made the movie for people who actually love movies and go and see movies”.

I, however, did not.

In light of the polarizing response to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. and DC were likely reassured that at least fans were responding positively to early footage of its next DC Extended Universe project, the villainous team-up Suicide Squad. That’s a very vague answer and he was clearly joking around, but it does beg the question: why didn’t he do a song for Suicide Squad?

Were you disappointed by The Joker’s lack of screen time in Suicide Squad? Also, we can bet that the movie going to beat the records of “Batman Vs. Superman”. Pictures. The film was written and directed by David Ayer (End of Watch, Fury) who is one of my favorite up-and-coming directors.

Deadshot, portrayed in the movie by Will Smith, is a brand-new character for the game, and both Harley Quinn and Joker (played in the film by Margot Robbie and Jared Leto, respectively) have received new skins for the game based on their in-movie designs. “But it’s not even close to the worst movie of the summer or the year” and “the awful reviews will have little impact on its opening weekend”, he writes. The dichotomy is present as ever when Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me” booms in the background as the character gracefully dangles from a self-made rope in her prison enclosure. From awful editing and unimaginative action scenes to the asinine decisions character’s make that goes completely against their thinly outlined personas, only existing to move the story along.

That line of diplomacy was echoed by Will Smith, who told Reuters that he thought that “people had expectations that may have been different, but I’m excited for the fans to get to vote”. With Suicide Squad, I’m gonna have to dig deep, and frankly, I don’t have the energy. The marketing has been tremendous, it’s got big stars, a nifty hook, and we haven’t had a superhero film since X-Men: Apocalypse back in May. Assemble a team of the world’s most unsafe, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. Movie is produced by Charles Roven under the banner of DC Entertainment RatPac -Dune Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros.
