James Corden is set to voice iconic storybook character Peter Rabbit in a new movie.

Corden will voice the title character, but there is no indication of who Byrne (who previously worked with Glick on “Annie”) will portray, although reportedly her role will be a live-action character. The director is also revising the latest draft of the script, which was written by Rob Lieber, and producing the flick alongside Zareh Nalbandian of Animal Logic Entertainment. The project is being overseen by Lauren Abrahams for Sony. Now the host of CBS’ The Late Late Show, Corden hosted the 2016 Tony Awards this June.

Corden is repped by CAA, United Agents, and Sloane Offer.

Beatrix Potter’s characters have enjoyed renewed popularity among younger viewers off the back of recent Nickelodeon cartoon series “Peter Rabbit”, shown on CBeebies in the UK.

Rose Byrne, hot off her performances in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and X-Men: Apocalypse, is now in negotiations to join the film as well.
