Red Sparrow is based on a novel of the same name and follows a Russian woman who is trained as a seductress in order to get information from a new to the field CIA agent, that had been tasked with collecting Russian intelligence. Dominika is eventually recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency and becomes a double agent, tasked with uncovering the identity of a Russian mole working at the highest levels of the U.S government, and quickly turns her sights back onto the Russian authorities that crossed her in the past. “The two young intelligence officers fall into a spiral of attraction and deception that results in her leading life as a double agent”.
