So, Instagram is Now Snapchat?
Might the addition of Stories cause users to go a little too insane on Instagram and post too often?

At the moment, Instagram users tend to be very selective about the photos they share, because they are anxious about over-posting. The stories will appear as a slideshow in Your Story. You can also easily see a list of everyone who has viewed photos and videos in your Stories feed. Both allow users to reply to your story individually, in Instagram’s case through the app’s direct messages. Stories can also be hidden from specific people. The Instagram blog says that it wants people to share as much as they want throughout the day with the photos and videos disappearing after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in the feed. Tap on the button and view all the stories shared in the last 24 hours.
Instagram Stories will roll out to Android and iOS users around the globe in the coming weeks. You can also edit your photos, adding cute graphics and effects, though we can only hope the dreaded flower wreath doesn’t make an appearance.
Instagram has tried all options to promote its Stories Feed.
Tap on the circle button at the bottom of the screen to take a photo or hold it down to record a video. Should Instagram have just stayed in their lane? Ever since Snapchat came onto the scene, Facebook’s been trying to buy it or incorporate some of its more successful features into its own product.
Instagram rolled out a big new feature on Tuesday, and a big-name Olympic athlete to use and promote it first. Snapchat especially even has the same name for the exact same feature set, making the copying even more egregious.

Adding in content that disappears can help Instagram tackle that problem. “When there’s something new to see, their profile photo will have a colorful ring around it”. Similar to the update that made Instagram comparable to Vine with its video feature, Snapchat has now come into the picture as well.
