Democratic VP Nominee Tim Kaine will be in Michigan Friday

Democratic Vice Presidential hopeful Tim Kaine hit the campaign trail in Milwaukee Friday. Kaine says it wasn’t because she was proud of him but because the party had nominated Hillary Clinton as the first female major-party presidential candidate.

One reason why, according to Barrett, is the unpredictable nature of Republican nominee Donald Trump, alluding to his event in Wisconsin Friday night. Tim Kaine, of Virginia, says he supports a more comprehensive federal background check system to vet people wanting to buy guns in America. He railed against companies outsourcing and off shoring jobs, saying Clinton’s economic plan includes an “exit tax” to penalize firms farming out U.S.jobs. He said Trump, by contrast, lacks a coherent strategy.

Later, during the theater speech, he called Grand Rapids by another well-known name, “Furniture City”, while criticizing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for running overseas manufacturing operations that do not employee Americans.

Kaine will “discuss Hillary Clinton’s plans to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top”, the campaign said, touting her plans to make “the largest investment in job creation since World War II”. Is there going to be something to affect the way voters view this?

The visits come as polls taken following the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia last week show Clinton opening up a big lead over Trump in the state. “But at this point, things look good”.

That means we can expect more visits from the candidates in the run up to the election.
