These cases bring the number of positive tests announced since the teams arrived in Rio to three, after an Irish boxer was provisionally suspended on Thursday for failing a dope test.
“The aforementioned member of the Greek Olympic team has left the Olympic Village”.
Authorities did not identify any of the people involved in the incident but said one man was a Russian Federation vice consul.
The unidentified Greek competitor’s A sample tested positive for banned substances in a pre-Games test also conducted in July in Athens and the athlete has left the Olympic village.
AIBA said it had been notified of the decision by the International Olympic Committee’s three-member panel, responsible for reviewing the eligibility of all Russian athletes who are approved to compete by their international federations.
The news of the failed test comes just hours before the opening ceremony to an Olympics which has so far been overshadowed by doping.
Rio police said, a Russian vice-consul fought with a gunman who was trying to rob him, causing the firearm to go off and killing the criminal.
