The Kabali Fever is Taking Over The World!

The film did not open to rave reviews on Friday, however, that didn’t dampen the spirit of Rajinikanth’s fans to celebrate the release of their cinema icon’s latest movie. The makers are yet to formally confirm the news and if it turns out to be true, then it will be the highest ever figure for a Rajinikanth film as his previous movie had raked in Rs. 37 crore.

Kabali producers Kalaipuli S Thanu has claimed in an official statement that in their home state Tamil Nadu itself, Kabali earned the coveted Rs 100 crore at the box office. Now that’s something astounding!

Rajnikanth who is also lovingly called Thalaiva is not just a star, and Kabali is the wild fire which is spreading across Box Offices down south in India.

In India, the film’s first-day ticket sales are expected to be more than Rs 35 crore.

Kabali is head and shoulders above the Superstar’s last two outings – Lingaa and Kochadaiiyaan – but it’s far from being a shoo in for when they make a blu-ray disc of Rajinikanth’s greatest hits. Going by the craze and madness surrounding the film, it won’t be a surprise if it gathers almost 50 Crores from its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu alone.

“Kabali” is being released in more than 12,000 screens across India, as well as in the United Kingdom and Malaysia, which has a sizeable Tamil-speaking population and millions of Rajinikanth fans. #Kabali [Tamil+Telugu] opening in intl markets: “Malaysia: “No 1 USA-Canada: “No 3 UK: “No 10 @Rentrak”.
