Moreno will now continue his development under new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who also favoured an influx of South American talent during his stays at former clubs Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Moreno has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium. I think he likes young players very much and he can improve young players tactically and technically.

On his ambitions with Depor for the coming season, Moreno added: “I have always wanted to win everything, to be a champion”.

Moreno made his senior debut for Colombia earlier this year and scored his first global goal during this summer’s Copa America. He is in Colombia’s squad at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Guardiola has now made seven signings since taking over earlier this summer, with Sane, Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jesus and Aaron Mooy all joining ahead of the new campaign.

He’s a versatile player, still learning, but we believe he has a fantastic future in the game and with City.

“He makes and scores goals and is an intelligent footballer”.

One of Jesus’ best quality’s is his attacking versatility as he is capable of operating in any position along the frontline, whilst playing with composure, elegance and skill, has resulted in him being compared to his superstar Brazilian compatriot Neymar.

As such in signing a trio of superb young attackers, Guardiola now has a wealth of talented attacking options available to him, with players such as Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva already at the club prior to the Spanish manager’s arrival last month.
