But, through this endorsement, Trump, for now, has assuaged any fears that the party would grow further divided, proving to both his party and those Republicans still wary of his campaign that he can steer clear of internal battles and focus wholly on his Democratic rivals.

Ted Cruz, and his enduring friction with GOP leaders there does not bode well for him in what is already one of the toughest presidential battleground states for any Republican. “He is a longtime friend. I’m not there right now”, Ryan replied.
Ryan, who withheld his own endorsement of Trump for weeks after Trump had clinched the party’s nomination, deflected Sykes’ questions about whether he might withdraw that support. I love babies. I love my children, I love babies.

But Trump didn’t back off on some controversial positions many in his party don’t like, such as building an allegiance with Russian Federation. Trump tweeted Friday morning. And when I feel the need to, I’ll continue to speak my mind. Earlier on Friday, he said that he was not waiting for an endorsement and was “not going to get involved in some sort of petty back and forth”.
