McCown, Browns on same page amid Dallas trade rumors
Those shoes startled a black cat, which ran under the legs of both backup quarterback Kellen Moore and rookie first-round pick Ezekiel Elliott. You think that’s a smaller guy doing those things because he’s so fast.

If McCown-to-Dallas doesn’t happen, Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot writes that other candidates to back up Romo include Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon and free agents Michael Vick and Josh Freeman. Foles ended up signing with the Kansas City Chiefs instead, where he’ll back up Alex Smith.
When you draft 14 players in one class, something has to give when it comes to roster spots if you really want to find out if the youth can grow and play.
On a team where the starting quarterback job is (allegedly) up for grabs, the Browns have tilted the (alleged) competition toward Griffin.
Browns head coach Hue Jackson has said he will name the starter before the first preseason game at the Green Bay Packers on August 12. McCown is the best option available, but moving on from him would put the Browns in basically the same situation Dallas is in now.
“For me, my job and my heart is here and doing everything I can to help the Cleveland Browns be good. But with that aside, there’s the business end of it, so I can just only hope he’s with us”.
McCown said Friday that he wanted to remain in Cleveland, but again, that was before Moore went down in Dallas.
“Unbelievable value”, Greco said.
If the Browns were a playoff contender, having McCown as a backup would make a lot of sense.
“The guy’s played a lot of games, made a lot of starts and won a lot of games”, right guard John Greco said.
“I’m going to do everything I can to help this team and to be ready to make this ball team, ” McCown said at the time.
You said it, it’s rumor. “That aside, that’s the business side of things and we just hope he’s with us”. The Cleveland Browns head coach added, “I don’t think Josh needs to take a ton of reps. I just believe God’s got the rest of that, and that will all sort itself out in the way it’s supposed to”.
He would not, however, say he’s eager to be named the starter – even if it would bring the position into focus and allow the team to move forward.
“I reconcile that in my mind through, I’ve said before, as a person of faith, “hey this is the day right in front of me”, he said.

“For me, my job and my heart is here”, McCown told the media after practice in Berea. Hue Jackson has the potential to be a very good coach and molder of men, but expecting this team to go from 3-13 to 10-6 or better is major stretch.
