Trump ends standoff with Ryan as he works to fix mistakes
“I’m mostly concerned with the rumors coming out that Manafort has no operational control and that Trump is winging it. If they’re not a campaign at the top this could be really bad for Republicans all the way down the ticket”, said John Feehery, a Republican strategist and lobbyist.

Some voters are attracted to Trump’s hawkish stance on terrorism, Olsen says, while others are convinced by his efforts to persuade “all Republicans” that he will fill Supreme Court vacancies with conservative-friendly justices. Very important. We’ll work together.
It was an unusual gesture for Trump, who is known for his refusal to admit mistakes and his tendency to double down when he’s under attack. They have voted overwhelmingly Republican for several election cycles, and Trump is the Republican nominee.
Trump earlier this week refused to endorse Ryan, telling the Washington Post he was “not quite there yet” – almost the same phrase Ryan had used about Trump before finally endorsing him. His Republican primary challenger, businessman Paul Nehlen, did attend, according to a spokesman.
“All my life I’ve been told, “You have the greatest temperament”, he said. Kelly Ayotte, two Republican leaders with whom he’s feuded.
Many Republicans, including Mr Ryan, Mr McCain and Ms Ayotte, were critical of Mr Trump’s insistent attacks on the parents. Khizr Khan, whose son Humayun Khan was killed in Iraq in 2004, spoke out against Trump during the Democratic convention last week.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker skipped the evening rally, preferring to attend all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner instead of appearing with his party’s standard bearer.
Paul Ryan and other elected Republicans haven’t held back criticism for Trump either. Trump’s campaign wrote one of the most reactionary documents.
Eager to change their minds, Trump unleashed a torrent of insults at Clinton throughout the day.
The Democrat had told Fox News Sunday that Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey said her “answers were truthful” about whether she sent or received classified material via private email. “In another way, she’s a weak person”.
The room of reporters quickly broke into chuckles, but Clinton seemed unfazed as she continued to talk about her economic policies.
Trump’s campaign said his economic advisory panel included former steel executive Dan DiMicco; tobacco company Vector Group Ltd President and CEO Howard Lorber; and Trump campaign finance chairman and investment manager Steven Mnuchin.
At the rally, Mr Trump read from notes in announcing the endorsements.
On the left, Democrats are struggling to convince Bernie Sanders supporters that Hillary Clinton is the best choice for them. “He made a deal with the devil. She’s the devil”, the Republican presidential nominee said.
“I actually said the first time, ‘All right, keep the baby here, don’t worry about it. Then, after about two minutes, I said, ‘You know what, I’m going to counteract my order”.
She also acknowledged many people don’t trust her.
“As Donald Trump has said stupid things and been rude to so many people over the past year, I usually chalked it up to inexperience and the spotlight of an incredibly hostile press”, Vos wrote.

“I hope Americans understand that the remarks do not represent the views of our Republican Party, its officers, or candidates”, McCain said in a almost 700-word statement. “How do you tolerate his disrespect?” asked Catherine Bryne.
