Pokemon GO Now Available In Asia and Oceania

Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm since its launch in early July. The game can be downloaded on both the iOS app store and the Android Play store.

The worldwide gaming sensation Pokemon Go is now available for download in Singapore, almost a month after it was first released in the US. It was first released in New Zealand and Australia followed by US. China government thinks that the game might be used to spy on its military bases and other facilities by the United States and Japan.

The blockade on launch, although is comprehensible for China and Korea, is puzzling for countries like Pakistan, and India where the game is already being played in huge numbers.

The game was launched in 14 Asia and Oceanic countries and territories including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Although, the game hasn’t been launched officially in India, the augmented-reality has caught on, with fans using VPN’s to change their locations and catch Pokemon in the country.

Game maker Niantic’s last update on Wednesday (Aug 3) had announced Pokemon Go’s debut in Brazil – just in time for the Rio Olympics – and across Central and South America.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the Singapore National water agency, PUB reminded players to be careful while playing the game outdoors and said some Pokestops might be located near Singapore waterways.
