Speaking at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour yesterday, Mariah joked that bringing the topic back up and bringing the memories back had just driven her to drink.
The eight-part E! series details the kick-off of her “Sweet Sweet Fantasy” concert tour and planning for her marriage to Australian billionaire James Packer.
Carey did, however, clear up any ideas that this would be a reality TV show as only she could. “I don’t know, but I’m at home and this is what I wear”, she giggled during the opening scene. “Literally. In terms of like, real or not real”.
Her ex-husband Nick Cannon and their twins are both still up in the air, according to the songstress. “I did that a lot in the beginning”, she said, “because I was like, ‘Why are they in here?”
“I just have to figure out mutually with Nick how much we really want them in the show”. “It’s not because they’re my kids”.
Like most people, Carey said, she has many different sides.
When asked about what she learned from her time on Idol, Mariah replied: ‘Ugh. “I don’t know what’s going to make final cut!” she explained. “I’m sorry, was that rude?” Mimi told Kelly Ripa in May that the show will adopt the tone of her famously insane 2002 episode of MTV’s Cribs, in which she exercised in stilettos.
Some things never change.
On whether there are any other female artists now that she admires: “There’s a few”. “There’s a few”, Carey said. “I really do love Scandal”. I don’t know what these other shows are.
Carey’s world also includes warning journalists about a fruit fly she encountered onstage: “I think he’s smelling the champagne”.
Does she throw shade slang for trash talking and if so why?
As you all know, Mariah Carey’s new reality TV series “Mariah’s World” is set to debut soon.
In truth, she said, “I’m like the same person that I was when I was a kid”. “I’m so not trying to slay anybody”. Interviews are fun, but they don’t reveal the real woman behind the music.
“Yesterday, my son, Rocky, was, like, being the DJ, and I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to teach you the value of working”.

Since this is Mariah’s world where magic can always come true, she is seen at her hotel door dressed to the nines in sparkly blue lingerie and again coated in glittering diamond jewelry bemoaning how she wanted a furry friend to make her feel better.
