Polish winger Kapustka makes Leicester debut

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has added another new face to his title-winning squad with the arrival of Bartosz Kapustka from Polish side Cracovia.

The deal is still subject to the formalities of global clearance, as well as FA and Premier League approval, but Kapustka has signed a long-term five-year contract that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2021.

Kapustka has been tracked by City for months, despite first appearing on most fans’ radar when he produced an impressive display in Poland’s opening Euro 2016 group game against Northern Ireland.

The winger reportedly cost Leicester City £7.5 million.

Leicester have now made five signings ahead of the 2016-2017 season, with Luis Hernandez, Nampalys Mendy, Ahmed Musa and Rob-Robert Zieler their other new faces.

Kapustka made more than 50 appearances scoring six goals for Cracovia, with his impressive displays leading to an worldwide debut for Poland in September 2015 against Gibraltar.

Leicester face FA Cup winners Manchester United in the Community Shield on Sunday and begin their title defence with a trip to promoted Hull City on August 13.
