State police searching for Bridgeport home intruder
One day after a violent home invasion at a Bridgewater home, the suspect is still at large, according to Connecticut State Police. There was no immediate word on the identity or the condition of the shooting victim, who was taken to Danbury Hospital.

Troopers, K9 units and members of the Connecticut State Police tactical team were searching for the suspect in the shooting, which happened at about 3:40 a.m.at 606 S. Main St. Troopers say they are still searching for suspects. No further description of the suspect was immediately available.
Grant said that at least one suspect fled before troopers arrived.
State police say the suspect is described as a light-skinned white or Hispanic male.
Police believed he had a gun and was hiding in the woods between the crime scene and the Lake Lillinonah boat launch, which is about one mile south in Brookfield.
An area resident also told them his vehicle had been stolen out of his driveway.
State police said the three cars are being checked for evidence.
Police are working to determine if there is any connection between the stolen vehicles and the Bridgewater home invasion.

As police were investigating, detectives were notified that two stolen cars had been found on North Main Street in Waterbury later in the morning. All calls will be kept confidential.
