Stagefright Patches For Google’s Nexus Range Are Finally Out
Android handsets have many manufacturers too. This vulnerability is called Stagefright. Like LG, the company will also roll out new security updated once a month.

And while Google says those affected are somewhat protected thanks to application sandboxing preventing most of the damage, that’s not stopped it from promising monthly security updates for its Nexus range of phones and tablets. Unfortunately, it could take some time for all handset makers to update their models – Android security updates are notorious fragmented (though this could soon be changing). This phone is being manufactured under LG, which is planning to introduce this feature of a finger print scanner to its next flagship device – the LG G5. However, in the US and certain European countries, mobile phone operators (such as AT&T and Verizon) are also involved in the mix. The service will allow user to pay their bills at NFC- compatible terminals.
Well, there is not much that an user can do to stop the Stagefright attack. It is believed, though, that there are no hackers exploiting Stagefright, and Google said Android 4.0 and up are safe. In that situation, Rice thinks Verizon should own the relationship with the customer, since it’s the company that’s taking their money. That is the basic difference between Apple and Google.
Earlier this week, Steve Hemmerstoffer of @onleaks released a video on Youtube, showing a prototype of what is purported to be the Huawei Nexus, Android Central reports. The smartphone will also have a MediaTek MT3188 wireless charger.
But Samsung Vice President Rick Segal acknowledged that his company could not force the telecommunications carriers that buy its devices in bulk to install the fixes and that some might do so only for high-end users.
Samsung Stagefright patch: Samsung has also issued a statement about the Stagefright patch and monthly security updates for its popular devices. “As a result, there are over 200 variants of software that we are working to patch, test and deploy to our carrier partners for their testing and approval”.
