But Hailee Steinfeld still remembers the very bad bullying she had to endure while still in high school just a few short years ago. It’s just the beginning.

Hailee is the cover star of Seventeen’s September issue, and (believe it or not) Taylor wasn’t the main reason the mag was talking to her.

Taylor Swift’s squad is vast and mysterious, and no matter how many glorious Fourth of July party she throws, you still have to wonder how exactly this globe-trotting superstar finds time to hang out with all these people. A despondent and angsty Hailee Steinfeld. “I see the future being really big”.

While Hailee is best known for her acting career, she is determined to follow in Taylor’s footsteps and have a successful music career.

‘Just having so many moments where you question who you are and what it is that you’re good at and what you feel good in. Steinfeld said that she used to get prank calls to her house every morning and that people would slam her locker shut as she was putting books into it.

However, as she’s gotten older, Steinfeld seems to have reached a place of understanding when it comes to her self-image, explaining, “It’s so easy to forget that we are all so handsome because we’re unique”. That’s how I’d start every day, with a threat saying, “Come to school now”. We’re going to kick your butt.’ So I went to school early and went in the back way.

“There would be times when I’d come back to my desk and have hand sanitizer all over my books and in my water bottle”, she continued. Still, you know if Taylor asks Hailee to make a surprise appearance at whatever the follow-up to the “1989” tour is, she’ll definitely say yes.
