A 19-year-old man is under guard in hospital after a woman in her 60s was killed and five people were injured in a London knife attack.

Horton and her husband, who have two adult daughters, had lived in Tallahassee for more than three decades and had a home in a leafy suburban neighborhood where she could be seen walking her dogs.

The Tallahassee Democrat reports Darlene Horton was one of the six people attacked in Russell Square.

An American woman was killed in a stabbing attack in London that authorities say doesn’t have any links to terrorism.

Whilst the investigation is not yet complete, all of the work we have done so far increasingly points to this tragic incident as having been triggered by mental health issues.

Janet Kistner, a colleague of Horton’s husband at FSU, said she was a keen tennis player, and “just a bright, inquisitive person”.

Pol O’Geibheannigh, 45, was walking back from the cinema when he saw a massive police presence and a woman lying in a pool of blood.

Director of FSU International Studies Program Dr. Jim Pitts said, “We normally send about two thousand students overseas each year”.

“They were a terrific couple, and a lot of us were quite close with them”, she said. Their philanthropic efforts, which extended to the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Foundation, Opening Nights Performing Arts at Florida State and the Leon County Humane Society did not surprise friends.

Richard had been travelling overseas to teach for several years accompanied by his wife, who began her career in education in the 1980s.

Friends of the couple and their two grown-up children back home in the United States have described a “fine family”, who played a big role in the university’s psychology faculty and were highly regarded within their local community for their philanthropy. “It’s very much a loss for all of us”.

“I send strength to the family and ask that you take advantage of every moment – nothing is to be taken for granted. She would go beyond the extra mile”. Horton spent time playing tennis at nearby courts with a tight-knit group of friends. “Ann and I are praying for her family and loved ones”. “I just can not believe it”.
