GenForward Poll: Most young whites think Clinton broke law
Clinton has advantages over Trump among women (58/27 percent), college graduates (59/26 percent), voters earning at least $75,000 a year (54/30 percent), whites (46/37 percent) and nonwhites (78/9 percent). Three months ago the presidential race was virtually tied in the state. Seven in 10 say they don’t know enough about Libertarian Gary Johnson to have an opinion about him, and almost 8 in 10 say the same about Jill Stein of the Green Party.

The results of the survey of Americans age 18-30 reflect something of an identity crisis for both parties heading into the future, driven in part by deep antipathy toward the presidential candidates they nominated. The crucial swing state of Pennsylvania shows that the likely voters favor her over Trump by a double digit lead, despite the Republican nominee claiming in an interview this week that he was doing very well in that state.
Meanwhile, Clinton has left behind Trump by a massive 15-point lead in the latest poll. Similarly, one-third (31%) of Trump supporters say they have no close friends who support Clinton.
The poll shows Republicans are divided by their party’s candidate.
Trump’s comments “create a clear and present danger”, says Hayden. Not only did she receive a higher bounce in poll numbers, but viewers received Clinton’s acceptance much more positively than they did Trump’s. Trump’s attacks on the Muslim parents of a decorated American soldier, Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq, have drawn sharp rebukes since Khizr Khan and Ghazala Khan appeared at last week’s Democratic convention.
Trump is viewed favorably by just 29 percent of New Hampshire voters and is viewed unfavorably by 60 percent. “I’m here to tell you Donald, you’re wrong”, said Clinton.
Walker said Clinton’s email scandal, her lies to the Benghazi families, and questions about the Clinton Foundation, are among the issues Trump should be focusing on. The margin of error for the full sample is plus or minus 2.3 percentage points and the margin of error among registered voters is plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

Humphrey, who was a top surrogate and adviser for Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s bid for the GOP presidential nomination, served as a pledged delegate for Kasich at last month’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland. The poll is a turning point for Clinton after trailing behind Trump the previous week as he led by 3 points-48 percent to 45 percent.
