Bali flights to resume after reports Mt Rinjani ash cloud clearing
A total of 13 domestic and global flights scheduled through Denpasar’s Ngurah Rai Airport were cancelled yesterday, while Lombok’s airport has remained closed until this morning, Bali Airport General Manager Trikora Harjo told Tribun Bali earlier.

Virgin and Tiger will update travellers about Tuesday’s services later in the morning, and Jetstar has already cancelled three flights ahead of another update due at 9am.
Travellers due to fly to the island today are being advised to check in at the airport as normal unless they receive notification their flight is affected.
Thirteen of the domestic and worldwide flights disrupted due to the eruption were meant to take off from or land in Bali’s Ngurah Rai airport, Antara News quoted the airport’s general manager Trikora Harjo as saying.
Jetstar is resuming flights to Bali this morning.
Flightboard is seen at Melbourne International Airport showing Virgin Australia flight from Bali was cancelled in July 2015.
A Jetstar representative said the airline was waiting on information from meteorologists, but that Perth planes were still scheduled to depart from Bali.
In a statement, Virgin Australia said safety was the airline’s one priority and it was continuing to monitor the situation closely.
“I’ve called, no news so far so hopefully we find out something but we’re so exhausted”.
But airlines say the disruption has eased for the time being and their schedules will be reassessed tonight.
