“It’s not a (expletive) campground”, Reed shouts.
Bruce Reed is a well-known Winona veteran and chairman of the Veterans Memorial Park committee.
Swearing at the players to leave, the veteran said they were disrespectful and doing harm.
“All of a sudden, boom, all these people, and it becomes a central gathering point”, said Winona Mayor Mark Peterson.
As the back-and-forth escalates, Reed destroys one of the tents that the players had set up. “These are like (expletive) gravestones right there”.
Players like Hansen say the game brings greater attention to a little-known park and believe conversation, not an ordinance, is what’s needed to bridge recreation with respect.
One young man dismissed him as a “crazy old man”. “I wouldn’t mind getting punched to get these veterans out of here”.
“I personally have concerns about the language that appears to restrict free speech and assembly”, Peterson said. “You think Arlington would allow this to happen?” No. well it shouldn’t happen here in Winona either. Let my emotions carry me.
“I don’t regret it for a minute”. I’ve got support. Anyone could have done it.
As things get heated up between the two groups, Reed charges head on int the tent, rolling it over.
The council will discuss those and 10 more rules for park use.
Councilman George Borzyskowski told Kare-11 the city attorney would review the legality of the change before nay voting.

Brandon said Reed drove by Veterans Memorial Park and harassed players for at least a week.
