Officials say Wilcox has been on the run since Sunday following the slayings of 48-year-old Daniel Andrews and 48-year-old Letitia B. Andrews. Wilcox is also wanted for kidnapping of his wife, 30 year-old Chasidy Wilcox.

When asked if Wilcox had any weapons on him, Summerford said those details were still under investigation late Tuesday. Chasidy Wilcox had been staying with them for several weeks, the sheriff said, because she and her husband were separating.

The divorce case was dismissed in May because the Wilcoxes reconciled, according to court records.

Tuesday, a motorist called 911 to report seeing a vehicle matching suspect Jeffery Alan Wilcox’s truck on Highway 411 in Centre. There were multiple shell casings at the scene. “We’re still investigating every lead, but right now there is nothing new”. Shaver said Jeffrey Wilcox had taken the children to the Andrewses’ home Sunday.

WIAT will bring you more details as they emerge.
