Jose Mourinho drops major hint over Manchester United’s pursuit of Paul Pogba
Juventus manager Massimilano Allegri did not sound like a man concerned about losing his star player Paul Pogba in a transfer to Manchester United any time soon.

“I am very pragmatic on this”.
Former Manchester United winger Nani believes Paul Pogba can be a fantastic addition to any club regardless of his huge price tag as speculation continues that a move to Old Trafford is imminent.
“Normally, next week, we will have our squad closed”.
There have been reports that United are closing in on a deal for the defender, who is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League and shares the same agent as Jose Mourinho. The week of work, which I can change and say the week of no work, in China was really bad for us, so we need to train and we need to play.
As ever, Mourinho wasn’t willing to discuss players at other clubs by name, but ultimately he said enough to suggest that the deal for Pogba is all-but done. They can do what they want.
Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have all arrived at Old Trafford since the end of last season and speaking ahead of Sunday’s Community Shield clash with Leicester, Mourinho said he expects to make one more “big signing” and that they will be getting a “very good midfield player”. This is a profile of our market. So we try to give balance.
“Of course, we have six changes instead of three, so that gives me the chance to give minutes to some people”.
Wenger described the potential Pogba fee as “completely crazy”, while Klopp said he wanted no involvement in such an inflated transfer market – comments that clearly did not sit well with United’s manager.
“I’ve told Bastian Schweinsteiger he’s free to find another club as he’s not part of my long term plans here”.

Sanches was paraded by Bayern on Saturday alongside fellow new signing Mats Hummels, but Mourinho has claimed he could easily have been wearing the red of United rather than Munich if he had been appointed Louis van Gaal’s successor earlier. “It’s always hard to get back into rhythm in the first games, with the changes in personnel, but it’s nice to be back”.
