Live Nation released the following statement regarding the incident: ‘We were saddened that several dozen people, including Live Nation employees, sustained injuries resulting from a railing section collapse during the Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa concert at Camden’s BB&T Pavilion on Friday night.

Forty-one other people were treated for minor injuries, including bruises and broken bones. A Camden Police spokesperson revealed five people were transported to the hospital for treatment; the seriousness of their injuries is unknown as of the writing of this post. Authorities said a stretch of railing separating the crowd from a small temporary stage gave way when fans surged toward the stage.

According to authorities, during a live performance of the “Young, Wild & Free” singers, the railing of BB&T Pavilion collapsed, causing 42 concertgoers to tumble over the ledge, CNN has learned.

In a viral video, Snoop and the Black and Yellow rapper urged the video to “Stand Up” when the railings, created to separate the audience from sloping lawn leading to the center of the venue, got damaged and stunned the unexpecting crowd.

Concert organiser Live Nation said some of its employees were among the injured.

A source said that around 50 people fell about three metres (10 feet) onto concrete.

An I Love the ’90s concert featuring Salt N Pepa, Vanilla Ice and other performers is scheduled for Saturday night at the pavilion following the previous night’s accident that left 42 people injured.

Organizers stopped the concert after the incident, philly.com reported.

The rappers were immediately ushered off stage by security guards and the concert was cancelled.
