The new device features a curved 5.7inch QHD Super AMOLED Display and according to the company is able to stream HDR video. This scanner will scan eyes of a user and unlock the phone if a match is found.

Like the S7 and S7 Edge, the Note 7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and will smoothly run on 4GB or RAM.

The Note 7 comes with a standard base of 64 GB of expandable storage – unlike the Galaxy S6 Edge+, which only came with 32 GB or 64 GB of fixed storage. It has a 3,500 mAh battery, which can be charged wirelessly.

For the global market, the Note 7 will be up for sale from August 19 in Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx colour variants. You can also purchase the S-View Standing Cover, that can prop your phone up.

The Galaxy Note7, with a retail price of $849.99, will become available on August 19 and all four carriers – AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon – and retailers in the United States – will take preorders Wednesday. The display of the Note 7 also comes with curved edges like the ones used for the S7 Edge, which offer quick access to select apps and information.

The company also announced today an improved Gear VR, with a USB Type-C port, new touchpad, and a bigger view.

As expected, the Galaxy Note 7 is heading to all four of the U.S. carriers.

It’s still a relatively new feature and hasn’t become completely indispensable, but it’s handy and will become more useful in time.

One of the major feature of the Note 7 is an Iris biometric sensor, which is compatible with Samsung’s Knox technology that enables better security functions.

The new note 7 was unveiled on Tuesday, August 2, during the event in NY.

However, the same issue is not plaguing the Galaxy Note 7, and there’s even a video provided for you below showing that even if you tried, you could not get the S-Pen to fit in the smartphone incorrectly. Unlike the S7, however, owners can control the handset’s screen in wet conditions with the bundled S-Pen stylus, which also ships with IP68 certification.

Its internal hardware specifications also do not differ much from that of the S7 or S7 Edge.
