Donald Trump ends standoff with Paul Ryan
On Friday, Priebus announced that he and his wife voted for Ryan.

“I have a thing”, he said. He later said he wants to deport only Muslims who believe in Sharia.
In an interview earlier this week, Trump said he was “not quite there yet” when it came to endorsing Ryan in his primary race.
Republican Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says he is embarrassed about Donald Trump being the GOP presidential nominee, calling it a “sad day in America”.
“Arm in arm, we will rescue the country from the Obama-Clinton disaster”, Trump told supporters after formally declaring his support for Ryan in next week’s congressional primary.
Mr Trump said he needed a Republican Senate and a House to accomplish the changes he wanted to make as president at a rally in Green Bay, in northern Wisconsin, Mr Ryan’s home state.
Ryan, like other top Wisconsin Republicans, did not attend Trump’s evening appearance in their state.
Republicans have said the timing of the transfer and the fact that it was paid in cash gave the appearance that the US was paying ransom for the release of four Americans in January.
Sen. Ron Johnson and House Speaker Paul Ryan citied scheduling conflicts, while Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said he’ll attend an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner instead of appearing with his party’s standard bearer.
Donald Trump has announced his team of economic advisers and it includes numerous people who have been already helping his campaign. John McCain and New Hampshire Sen.
Trump refused for another day to endorse the Republican speaker. It said he will focus on “empowering Americans by freeing up the necessary tools for everyone to gain economically”.
Matthew was joined by his mom, Mary Schricker, for the interview, and discussed the moment at the Pence event Thursday when he questioned Trump’s running mate.
Trump has suffered a brutal campaign week that included his refusal to back down in a confrontation with the parents of a Muslim American soldier killed in Iraq.
Pence told NBC’s “Today Show” that he is seeing “tremendous enthusiasm” for the Republican ticket.
He also pledged to work with the very party leaders he had earlier dismissed as Washington’s ineffective establishment figures.
Ryan said he “rejects” any religious test for entering the country – a clear jab at one of Trump’s evolving immigration proposals – and that “Captain Khan was one such courageous example” of Muslim-Americans who have “served valiantly in our military and made the ultimate sacrifice”.
He conceded Friday he was wrong to claim repeatedly in recent days that he saw a video of a US cash payment going to Iran.
Trump tweeted Friday that “The plane I saw on television was the hostage plane in Geneva, Switzerland, not the plane carrying $400 million in cash going to Iran!”

The $400 million was paid by Iran in the 1970s as part of a weapons purchase from the U.S. The money was frozen after the 1979 Iranian revolution and subsequent hostage crisis, which blocked delivery of the weapons. Republicans call it ransom; the Obama administration says it was money the US legally owed Iran. Trump’s campaign said the GOP nominee had not seen a tape as part of any security briefing. The campaign acknowledged Thursday that this was incorrect, yet Trump repeated the claim hours later at a rally.
