Dobbs said they’re having trouble getting the facts of the case because the father is not talking to them. The twins, Ariel and Alaynah North, who had just turned 16 months old Thursday, died at the hospital.

The twins were taken to Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton where they were both pronounced dead.
Police were called at around 6:30 p.m. and officers arrived to find North and neighbors trying to revive the girls by cooling them down in a kiddie pool, Dobbs said.
“What we believe is the father had left the children unattended in a vehicle for a certain amount of time”. He is now faces charges including two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of reckless conduct, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office jail records. Police were awaiting the results of blood tests to determine his alcohol level.
North also commented on her nephew’s drinking habits.
The mother was visiting a sick relative out of town at the time but has since returned to Carrollton, he said.
“They taking it hard right now”, Donnie Holland said about the family. He should have never been in the house asleep.

It wasn’t immediately clear who discovered the girls in the back of the SUV.
“The neighbours heard some screaming – I guess coming from the father – and saw him running around back with the two children”, Carrollton police Capt. Chris Dobbs told CBS 46. Frantic neighbors tried to lower their body temperatures using ice packs, Dobbs said.
On a national average, 37 children die from heat-related deaths after being trapped inside hot cars.
Of the children who die this way, 87% are age 3 and younger, KidsAndCars founder Janette Fennell said.
The majority of children who die in hot cars are under 3, like Khosrow Jabbari’s daughter, Alexandria.
