Suicide Squad hasn’t exactly gone as planned for Warner Bros (at least not critically) – the film now sits on less than 30% on Rotten Tomatoes, word of mouth among “professionals” is not good and there is a very definite split between fans and critics. However, Suicide Squad, amidst all the problems, can be seen as senseless fun & entertainment with all of its rebellious action sequences, chemistry/comradery amongst characters and even its light-hearted humor that comic-book-faithfuls and casual moviegoers would find to be just.

Margot Robbie has responded to reports that her costume in Suicide Squad was photoshopped to be less revealing after her pair of red and blue sparkly hot trousers were deemed too short.

The film took in an estimated $20.5 million in Thursday preview showings, a record for an August opening according to studio estimates Friday.

She shared: “What made working on the film even more unbelievable was that I found my new drinking buddy in Cara”.

The DC films are one of three key franchises for Warner Bros. going into the next decade, along with movies from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and pictures based on the Lego toys. He is also credited as a producer on other Hollywood blockbusters such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Mad Max: Fury Road and The Lego Movie.

That being said, it’s questionable that the idea would ever get approved following the critical reception of Suicide Squad.

Suicide Squad isn’t a ideal movie, but it is lots of fun. It follows a government-sanctioned group of super-villains who are offered clemency in exchange for protecting the US against meta-humans.

The question is, however, does Suicide Squad have the legs that Guardians of the Galaxy had as Guardians went on to make over $773 million worldwide, and didn’t have the well known actors and characters (Ben Affleck, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Batman, Deadshot, Joker, Harley Quinn, Justice League cameos) that Suicide Squad has.

Reviews continue to crush Suicide Squad, even more than Batman Vs. Superman, as Suicide Squad is now at 26% at Rotten Tomatoes to Batman Vs. Superman’s 27%.
