Obama calls on Republicans to reject ‘unfit’ Trump
After Mr Khan spoke out against Trump, the Republican candidate said that the father of US Army Captain Humayun Khan hadn’t allowed his wife to speak.

“While Obama said he has disagreed with former Republican presidents on policy issues, he did not have a doubt that they could function as president”. “There has to be a point in which you say this is not somebody I can support for President of the United States”.
Trump’s own party leaders have come out openly against the Republican presidential nominee for being critical of family members of the soldier.
Obama continued and said that this opinion of Trump is shared by prominent Republicans.
When Blitzer pressed her on the issue, Pierson asked, “Just out of curiosity, what exactly is Mr. Trump supposed to be apologizing for, just so that I’m clear?” “As I said in my speech last week, I don’t think that represents the views of a whole lot of Republicans out there”.
Obama’s come amid Trump’s ongoing feud with Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the parents of a fallen US Muslim soldier who had criticised Trump at the Democratic Party’s National Convention.
A federal judge who has been a target of Mr Trump’s repeated scorn denied a media request to release videos of the candidate testifying in a lawsuit about the now-defunct Trump University; Mr Trump’s lawyers had argued the videos would have been used to tarnish his campaign. “It is time for Donald Trump to set the example for our country and the future of the Republican Party”.
Trump, speaking at a rally here Tuesday, said voters would stick with him over Clinton because of his vow to appoint conservative justices to the Supreme Court. Khan criticized Trump’s position on Muslims and asked whether the real estate mogul had read the Constitution.
Mr Trump questioned whether Ghazala Khan did not speak at the convention because she was prevented from doing so by her religion and he characterised Khizr Khan’s criticism of him as “vicious”.
Congressman Richard Hanna went one step further, becoming the first Republican lawmaker to say he will vote for Trump’s opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, in November. Trump attempted to defend himself and suggested Ghazala Khan kept quiet during the convention due to their faith.
He also said he had “always wanted to get a Purple Heart”, after being given one by a military veteran who supports him. In the same month he only broke his silence on the question to say he was “not ready” to endorse Trump.
CBS2’s Maurice DuBois reported New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie also shot back at Obama over his comments about Trump.

“My advice to Donald Trump has been and will continue to be to focus on jobs and national security and stop responding to every criticism whether it’s from a grieving family or Hillary Clinton”, Blunt said in a statement.
