Clinton leads Trump by 8
Conventions are not complicated things. And another poll by Fox News showed Clinton with a 10-point lead. “We’ve been talking about jobs and Donald Trump has been shadow-boxing with every last person and not focusing on what matters the most”, Kaine told supporters during a 20-minute address.

While Trump in the last week escalated a feud with the parents of a fallen US soldier and opened a party rift by saying he was not yet ready to endorse the Republican speaker of the House, Trump on Friday launched into a lengthy and focused attack on Clinton during his rallies and built on those attacks on Saturday.
The Washington Post-ABC News poll released Sunday includes data that gives a bit more insight into just how Trump managed to make his position worse.
“The people of this country don’t want someone who will short-circuit up here”.
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says Trump’s endorsements, coming after his refusal to endorse the trio, show that Trump “has the ability and the understanding to realize that there are going to be disagreements and you’ve got to be able to reach out to the entire party”.
Now, that being said, Clinton still leads Trump by 8 after a pretty bad week for Trump–a week that culminated in the Republican presidential candidate endorsing the Republican Speaker of the House becoming a major news item. However, there are still 32 percent of Hispanics, 29 percent of Asian-Americans and 21 percent of African-Americans who think Clinton intentionally broke the law. The news organizations said, however, that almost six in 10 voters remain dissatisfied with the choice between Clinton and Trump. In fact, independents back Clinton out of enthusiasm for her at the exact same margin that Republicans back Trump out of enthusiasm for him (45 percent of each group).
There was also a big shift in favorability ratings for Clinton after the conventions.
Two other new national polls show Clinton 8 and 9 points ahead of her Republican rival. After, she improved to minus-6. Trump’s numbers moved much less, from minus-28 to minus-25.
Why did that happen? That compares with 86 percent support just before the Republican convention and is an indication that the Democratic convention helped consolidate supporters of Sen. People who supported Trump and Clinton in the primaries were always heavily likely to support them in the general election, too. Three months for responsible Republicans to decide whether they will have a viable Party to take into the future after this election. After? That increased to 17 points.

On Saturday, he didn’t mention Ryan or other Republicans with whom he has feuded and kept his barbs focused on Clinton and President Barack Obama, as fellow Republicans had urged him to do. The conventions made the rift in the party worse.
