The 41-year-old actress and human rights campaigner – who is a visiting professor at the London School of Economics – had been reported to be holding similar classes at the Washington establishment, but it has now been confirmed that she is not planning to be there.

According to a source for Us Weekly, Angelina’s topics will include ‘women, peace and security, ‘ all subjects on which she’s focused her activism around the world.

After serving as U.N.H.C.R.’s Goodwill Ambassador from 2001 to 2012, Jolie was appointed Special Envoy in April 2012 and works with the U.N. Refugee Agency to find solutions for people who have been displaced from their homes.

After meeting Angelina, the executive director of the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, Melanne Verveer chose to welcome her aboard the faculty.

The LSE Centre for Women, Peace and Security announced in May that Jolie and former Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom William Hague will serve as visiting professors in practice this fall.

“I was pleased to meet with Angelina Jolie during my recent trip to London on ways we at Georgetown University can continue the collaboration between our sister programs on both sides of the Atlantic”, Verveer said in May.

However, adds Pugh, “Angelina Jolie and William Hague have an open invitation to share their experiences and perspectives at Georgetown anytime they’re able”. “I am looking forward to teaching and learning from the students”.
