Reports confirmed that the popular Pokemon-hunting game has debuted in 15 countries in Asia and Oceania.
Apart from Thailand, the countries and regions included in Saturday’s launch are: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. The app is available on both Android and iOS across the 15 countries.
However, China, India and Korea have yet to receive “Pokemon Go”. Korea also has the same problem because the country also has a security issue with the Google Maps.
One gamer, Chanjira Panyapawakul, 25, said she was very excited that the game had been finally launched in Thailand because she was a big fan of Pokemon since she was young. China government thinks that the game might be used to spy on its military bases and other facilities by the United States and Japan.
Iran banned Pokemon Go just a few days after it was released in early July, citing national security concerns because the game leads users to real-life locations via Global Positioning System maps. The game creator stated that there is a new bug that affects throw accuracy, thereby boosting the chances of Pokemon escaping and removing the experience bonus.
What do you think of the new “Pokemon Go” tweaks? With over 50 million downloads on the Play Store and quite a lot on the App Store store as well, Pokemon Go has generated revenue worth billions of dollars. They are reportedly working on a fix at present.
