Brandon McManus calls out Justin Tucker’s field goal claim
He’s now with the Detroit Lions, but Baltimore Ravens’ kicker Justing Tucker broke that record…in training camp. But he didn’t stop there. The reason Tucker said he could make an 84-yarder is because he said he “thinks” he hit the crossbar on an 85-yarder during warm-ups before a game in Denver in 2015.

The Broncos’ special teams unit has thrown the challenge flag on Justin Tucker after the Ravens kicker exuded confidence he could nail an 84-yard field goal in pristine conditions at Denver’s home stadium.
“You don’t get on the air and say, ‘I think I kicked an 85-yarder that hit the crossbar.’ If you hit an 85-yarder that hit the crossbar, you remember”, Colquitt said. Others would disagree, such as Brandon McManus, kicker for the Denver Broncos.
First there was Broncos kicker Brandon McManus, who offered to pay for Tucker’s travel expenses to see the boisterous Ravens kicker do what he says he can. “I’ll pay for his flight, his hotel, if he wants to come out here and do it. You don’t say, ‘I think.’ I’m pretty sure I remember him missing about 15 from 60”.

While 84 yards may be out of the question, beating Prater’s record might not be. He said it’s the furthest kick he’d attempt with the chance to score. He really believes that a field goal just over 20 yards longer than the National Football League record is within his range. Denver and Baltimore aren’t scheduled to play each other in the regular season, but could always meet in the AFC Playoffs.
