Where to celebrate Harry Potter release in Indy

Thousands of bookstores around the world are holding Potter parties Saturday night, and report advance sales not seen since the 2007 publication of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, the final novel in the series.

The plot is a mystery, as stores aren’t allowed to open the boxes containing the scripts until Saturday at midnight.

Though the system offers more flexibility than traditional delivery services, 2-am deliveries are still outside the norm.

Along with it being Harry Potter’s birthday, it’s also the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Toby L’Estrange, from Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire, aims to post his critique of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Parts One and Two shortly after its midnight release on Sunday.

Barnes and Noble said in a statement that “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” was the USA company’s most pre-ordered book since 2007′s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” – the final book in the original series.

She said in a YouTube video: “You’ve been wonderful for years at keeping Harry Potter secrets so you don’t spoil the books for readers who came after you”.

Fans eager for the new script “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” can enjoy special Ministry of Magic-inspired breakfast goodies when they stop by to pick up the book at Eagle Harbor Book Company between 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday, July 31.

Toby, a self-confessed superfan of the boy wizard, had read all the Potter books by the time he was eight – and can recite all the spells featured in the series. There’ll be a Harry Potter scavenger hunt, a “Muggle Wall” where fans can write comments, a Harry Potter look-alike contest, a cardboard Harry Potter suitable for selfies and other games, activities, giveaways and art projects. It is said that Rowling made a decision to write a play with a Harry Potter theme back in 2012.

Hold on to your sorting hat: Harry Potter is back.

And Harry’s lightning bolt scar is aching for the first time in nearly a quarter of a century.

Holly’s Book Rack, too, has ordered extra copies and received inquiries and pre-orders.

The Independent’s Jack Shepherd similarly awarded the play five stars, writing: “It’s quite apparent this isn’t written to be either a book or a tie-in film; it’s a spectacle for the theatre, one that is filled to the brim with fan service and magical imagery that will amaze”.
