Several injured in Snoop Dogg concert
On Friday, during a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert, a railing separating concertgoers from the performance collapsed, leaving 42 fans badly injured.

Engineers were trying to figure out exactly what went wrong at the outdoor venue with an indoor seating section and open lawn seating. But the person’s name and further details on his or her injuries were not disclosed. At least one person was taken to Cooper University Hospital to be treated for an upper-body injury.
An eyewitness told The Philadelphia Inquirer of their horror as around 50 people fell head first onto the floor before security came to their aid.
“Everyone started running towards him, as, like, fans and stuff would do”, said Aubrey Bernanti of Lumberton, N.J. The railing was separating a sloping lawn from a covered portion of the concert hall.
The event was subsequently cancelled, though organizers announced that Saturday’s show at the BB&T arena featuring Salt N Pepa, Bryan Adams and Vanilla Ice will move forward as planned.
Concertgoer Katie Colbridge – who was uninjured and one section away from the affected area – said that people in the crowd were moving around trying to get a better view when the “whole fence collapsed”.
Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg took to Twitter to express his concern for his injured fans. Some Live Nation employees were among the injured, the company said. An announcer urged the audience to remain calm as police and medics tended to the injured.
A Camden, NJ city spokesperson told AFP the venue has no history of code violations or building maintenance issues. Things quickly escalated out of control as fans began pushing and shoving others, and before they knew it the railing was collapsing and people were falling to the ground below.

Other injuries include broken bones, according to police.
