‘Pogback’: United says Pogba to have medical ahead of return
“I don’t think Real Madrid was upset when they broke the record with Gareth Bale or Cristiano (Ronaldo)”, said Mourinho.

“Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United”, United confirmed.
The Italian champions are now in London, where they played West Ham in a friendly yesterdday to mark the opening of the London Stadium. A change from the man who always said he would not talk about Pogba because he was a Juventus player. What is expensive and not expensive in football I don’t know any more.
“It’s awesome that such a good player is with us”.
And he tweeted: “When too many people talk nobody understands”.
With United set to launch their Premier League campaign away to Bournemouth next Sunday, Mourinho claims the trip to Dean Court will be the beginning of his “impossible” dream as manager. The 20-time Premier League champions confirmed the France worldwide would visit the club’s training complex this week ahead of completing his move from the Bianconeri, but Allegri is still expecting Pogba back in first team training this week.
Defender Eric Bailly, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic have already moved to Old Trafford this offseason.
“The other players are surprised”, he said.
“He is the type of player we need. I want to give everything for the team”.
He said: “It’s a good market for us”.
Speaking after Manchester United’s 2-1 FA Community Shield win over Leicester City, Mourinho hailed the signing of Pogba. The Sweden hitman towered above Leicester skipper Wes Morgan to plant a downward header from Antonio Valencia’s dinked cross beyond Schmeichel, with the ball clipping the far post on its way into the net.
The Foxes equalised 10 minutes after the restart when Vardy, who turned down a move to Arsenal during the summer, latched onto a tired Marouane Fellaini backpass, rounded De Gea and guided the ball into the unguarded net. This was vindicated with his start in yesterday’s Community Shield.

Should Pogba kick-start a new era of domination at Old Trafford, once he has completed the formalities of passing a medical and signing for the club, it may even prove sensible financial speculation to accumulate even greater profits.
“But if he becomes as influential as a (Paul) Scholes, a (Frank) Lampard, a (Steven) Gerrard, a (Patrick) Vieira or a (Roy) Keane, then you say it’s money well spent”.
He added: “I dedicate this victory to seven not selected and Louis van Gaal”.

It’s a shame we let him leave four years ago, but Mourinho has corrected the mistake and there’s no doubt fans will be set for an extremly exciting season.
