The Mighty Harley Quinn: An Interview With Margo Robbie

Deadline got the numbers, and it seems that the $65 million earned on Friday shot up to $146 million. The opening weekend USA gross for “Suicide Squad” also pushed the studio to more than $1 billion in total domestic box-office sales for 2016, marking the 16th year in a row Warner Bros. has topped that figure, the studio said in a statement.

At the end of the DC film, she was taken down by the squad through a bomb, in which El Diablo had to sacrifice himself to kill the Enchantress’ brother. The up-empo beats go well with the action scenes, with the exception of Eminem’s “Without Me”. Or at least overly negative.

Since the March release of “Batman v Superman”, which had a strong debut but saw box sales slow after critics panned the movie, Warner Bros. has appointed executives specifically to focus on the DC films slate. This would have been a valid point, if the fear of Superman really felt concrete in the earlier movie-which, for me, it didn’t.

But Smith brings his usual charisma to Deadshot, Davis lends scary authority to Waller, and Robbie is superficial but entertaining as Harley Quinn.

The movie starts with a lot of character back story, which helps for those who don’t know the universe but can also be overwhelming for those very same people.

“It’s the most fun I’ve ever had with a character”, he added. If only the foundation on which it tries to stand on was pretty solid.

At present time, Metacritic rates the film at 41%, while Rotten Tomatoes, claims that only 26% of reviews have been positive (the site is still up, so clearly the fan petition to shut it down has not yet succeeded).

Are you excited to see Suicide Squad? But the film was derided as a mess by critics and others questioned the movie’s PG-13 rating considering its high degree of violence.

And for those in the mood for an R-rated comedy, Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Katherine Hahn and Christina Applegate of Bad Moms are still entertaining and hoping to keep audiences laughing at the movies. The coming weeks will show if crowds still materialize or quickly dissipate as they did for “Batman v Superman”.
